Within many of our elderly care facilities we cater for individuals with different types of dementia, of different ages, and who require varying levels of support in order to assist them to live comfortable lives, and get fulfillment from each day. Our staff are trained specifically to assist people with dementia at every level, from short-term memory loss through to those with more complex behaviour.
Dementia can affect a person’s physical and mental well-being. Our staff are on hand to not only assist with everyday tasks residents may struggle with but to also offer reassurance and support. It is common for dementia sufferers to feel increasingly vulnerable as their mental competence declines. It is imperative then that staff are sensitive and understanding in their interactions so residents retain a feeling of self-worth.
