Rutland Care Village
| Opened in June 2006 by HRH The Princess Royal, the care village is truly an innovative concept of care for the future. The site comprises 3 separate care homes with nursing and dementia care packages available, together with the Brambles Social Centre and 26 cottages in the grounds, the occupants of which can enjoy a high level of support delivered direct to their own homes at any time of the day or night.
The 3 registered care homes offer accommodation in all single room, with full en-suite facilities, many of which have private patio garden areas, with a major emphasis on a regular and varied activities programme.
The cottages on site can either be purchased or rented, this really is an innovative project offering a totally new concept in care support and delivery. The village comprises Belvoir Court, Cottesmore Lodge and Quorn Grange, all of which offer care to clients aged 50 years plus, whose needs are associated with either old age and frailty, for those requiring assistance because of physical problems, dementia based needs or a variety of nursing needs.
The Rutland Care Village were finalists in the 2007 Pinders / Caring Business Healthcare Design Awards.
